Leah Williamson has signed a new contract with Arsenal which is expected to keep her at the club until at least 2028.
The England international's renewal was always likely with the player having come through the academy and the news comes just two days after teammate Steph Catley also committed to the Gunners.
Williamson first made her debut for Arsenal as a 17-year-old back in 2014 and the defender has gone on to feature in over 275 games for the club since then.
This season, Williamson's season has been interrupted by a knee injury and she was an unused substitute in Wednesday's 7-0 hammering over Leicester City that moved Arsenal up to third in the WSL.
As is standard, Arsenal did not divulge the length of Williamson's new contract but the reliable Emma Sanders of BBC Sport suggests it is a two-year contract.
