Leandro Paredes vented his anger at Eric Garcia and Gavi after Spain beat Argentina 1-0 after extra time in the World Cup final.

The Argentina midfielder, 32, came on at half-time and was booked in the 52nd minute.

According to L'Équipe, the flashpoints unfolded after the final whistle during a commercial break on French television, first involving Eric Garcia then Gavi.

Paredes pushed Garcia and grabbed him by the throat amid a scuffle. He then confronted Gavi, who attempted to retaliate.

Held back by national team-mate Thiago Almada, the former Paris player took Gavi to the ground, seized his substitute's bib and struck him in the face. Players and staff then intervened.
