Lech Poznan have retained the 2025-26 Polish championship, sealing top spot with one match remaining after a 3-1 win away to Radomiak Radom on Saturday.

It was not a foregone conclusion. The visitors fell behind early, but Swedish striker Mikael Ishak, previously with Parma and Nuremberg, swiftly levelled and his side pulled away from there.

With only 59 points from 16 wins, 11 draws and six defeats, they are guaranteed to finish first in a tightly packed table.

Under Danish coach Niels Frederiksen, they spent two thirds of the campaign outside the top five, climbed onto the podium on matchday 22, then went top on matchday 26.

It is the club’s 10th title, completed with a nine-match unbeaten run featuring six wins.
