Leeds United are closing in on a second summer addition at Elland Road, moving for left-sided centre-back Tarik Muharemović as Pascal Struijk's replacement.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds agreed a £34m deal in Italy on Tuesday evening and then worked to finalise terms with the 23-year-old.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina World Cup star is flying into Leeds Bradford Airport this morning to complete a medical and sign the paperwork.

Muharemović has shown aerial strength, a presence in both boxes and mobility during his spell with Italian side Sassuolo.

The move will be the most expensive of 49ers Enterprises' ownership era.

Leeds have already added Harry Wilson on a free transfer from Fulham.
