Leeds lodge Strand Larsen bid and assess further January deals | OneFootball

Leeds have just over one week to complete business, with Facundo Buonanotte arriving on loan and 18-year-old Leonard Ngenge joining the Under-21s. Interest has intensified in Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, with an opening offer submitted.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke did not expect wholesale changes but another senior addition or two could follow if the market allows. It remains to be seen whether agreement can be reached for Strand Larsen before the deadline.

Illan Meslier has seen only fleeting January links. Farke has said he plans to keep his squad together, while adding that could change if a player asks to leave, and there is no suggestion of that.

Speculation over right-back Jayden Bogle was swiftly dismissed by Farke, who said no such exit would be sanctioned for one of his most important players this month.

Charlie Crew’s season-long loan at Doncaster Rovers has been cut short and the midfielder has returned to Leeds. Whether another temporary move is arranged remains unclear.

Jack Harrison joined Fiorentina on loan last week, with an option to buy set at around £6m. Farke indicated that departure could open a path to add left wing-back cover if an opportunity arises.

There is known interest in Joel Piroe from Championship and overseas clubs, though neither is pushing for a move. Links to Celtic are considered wide of the mark and a loan would offer little PSR benefit.

Joe Gelhardt is halfway through a season-long loan at Hull and impressing, with 10 goals in 19 games. Chairman Acun Ilicali wants to sign him permanently in the summer and does not expect a January recall.
