Leeds United’s net spend stands at £14m after sealing Tarik Muharemovic’s £34m move from Sassuolo.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the 23-year-old centre-back completed medical tests in West Yorkshire and signed a five-year contract.

Muharemovic is the first fee-paying arrival of the window, following Wilson’s free-agent signing.

Leeds have also sold Pascal Struijk and Isaac Schmidt for a guaranteed £20m, helping to balance the books.

Elsewhere across the Premier League, some clubs have raced out of the blocks, and overall outlay has already passed £1bn. The comparison includes rivals such as Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City at this early stage of the window.
