Leeds United are weighing late attacking moves before Monday’s seven pm deadline, with Jorgen Strand Larsen nearing Crystal Palace as Jean-Phillipe Mateta closes on AC Milan.
The Norway forward headed Leeds’ shortlist in the final week of January. TeamTalk claims Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran has been offered to Leeds and two other Premier League clubs after an underwhelming loan with Fenerbahce. He joined on loan from Al-Nassr in the summer and has five goals in 21 outings.
A move to Lille was said to be close before collapsing, and intermediaries have re-approached Tottenham, Nottingham Forest and Leeds. Sky Sports reports a striker addition is unlikely for Leeds after Palace’s bid for the Norwegian was accepted, although a late arrival is not being ruled out.
Fichajes claims Leeds, Sunderland and Tottenham are monitoring Real Madrid forward Endrick during a loan at Lyon. He has four goals and one assist in four matches since joining earlier this month. The report says Leeds view him as ideal for growth, Sunderland see a game-changer, and Tottenham expect immediate impact.
Sheffield United’s plans have been hit by injuries, with Chris Wilder saying left-back Sam McCallum is likely out for the season after the Millwall draw. Harrison Burrows is now his only senior left-sided option, which could open the door for a former Leeds player needing minutes.
