Should Leeds United win their final game of the season they'll be crowned champions but should they win big over 23rd-place Plymouth Argyle then they could create a new Championship record.
Daniel Farke's team swatted Bristol City aside on Monday night to return to the top of the table and add to their superb goalscoring record.
The Whites have scored 93 goals during the 2024/25 league season which is the joint third-best performance in the Championship since the 2004/05 rebrand.
Only Bournemouth (98, 2014/15), Reading (99, 2005/06), and Fulham 106 (2021/22) have scored more goals. A big win could potentially see Leeds move up one place but it's hard to see them getting any further outside of a truly exceptional performance.
If it wasn't for title-rivals Burnley, Leeds would be on course for the best-ever defence since the rebrand, having shifted 29 goals – that's fewer than the current record holders Preston North End (2005/06) and Watford (2020/21) who conceded just 30.
The fact that the Clarets have only shifted 15 all season makes that feat even more remarkable and it's hard to imagine another team bettering it for a long time.
So what record can Leeds achieve on Saturday? Well, if they enjoy another big victory like they did against Argyle, then the West Yorkshire team could finish the season with the highest goal difference in the rebranded Football League era.
Reading, after their amazing 2005/06 campaign, are currently the highest after finishing the season with a mighty goal difference of +67.
Fulham came close a few years ago when they ended their 2021/22 season with +63. However, Leeds are already ahead of the Cottagers this season with +64, meaning that another 4-0 win, which considering their opponents is possible, would give them a best-ever goal difference.
With question marks over the gulf between Premier League sides and Championship teams in recent seasons, if we end up with two big record setters who still can't stay up next season then perhaps we really do have a big problem in English football.
