Leeds United have lost Ilia Gruev for the rest of the season after a knee meniscus injury. Daniel Farke is awaiting fitness updates on Anton Stach, Jayden Bogle and Sebastiaan Bornauw before Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea at Wembley.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Gruev was hurt in training this week and will not feature again this campaign. Farke expects the midfielder to be back for the start of pre-season.

Stach has been rehabbing an ankle problem sustained in the quarter-final at West Ham United, when he was wiped out by an unpunished challenge in the penalty area, and has not played since. He has yet to rejoin team training. Farke said there are a few days left, and that a return to training would give him a chance, adding they will see over the next 72 hours.

Bogle took a heavy knock to his foot in the first half of the 2-2 draw at Bournemouth on Wednesday and was withdrawn at the break, with Joe Rodon introduced. Farke said it appears not too serious. They will wait to see how quickly he recovers, hoping to have him available.

Bornauw rolled his ankle during the warm-up in midweek after what appeared to be an accidental collision with Facundo Buonanotte. He missed the half-time drills and did not take part in Thursday’s team session. Farke hopes he can return to training tomorrow, which would make him available.
