Leeds United add exceptional analyst Matthew Jenkins after Cardiff boss praise | OneFootball

Leeds United have appointed Matthew Jenkins as a first-team performance analyst ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League season, following his departure from Cardiff City.

According to Wales Online, Jenkins has completed the switch to Elland Road, and his LinkedIn now lists the Leeds role.

Jenkins spent eight years at Cardiff, starting as an under-23 performance analyst in 2018 before becoming head first-team performance analyst last season.

He worked closely with head coach Brian Barry-Murphy as the Bluebirds finished second in League One, securing promotion to the Championship in his final year at the club.

Barry-Murphy lauded Jenkins last summer, describing him as exceptional, highlighting his long service and the high standards of his work, and saying the analyst had blown him away.
