Leeds United host Crystal Palace at Elland Road on Saturday night in their penultimate game of the year, with up to nine players potentially absent across both squads.
According to Leedsunited.news, Palace have six confirmed absentees, while Leeds will be without two players and have one significant doubt.
Leeds arrive three matches unbeaten after a win over Chelsea, a home draw with Liverpool, then a point at Brentford. That sequence left them 17th but three points clear of West Ham in 18th after West Ham’s 3-2 defeat to Aston Villa.
Palace face a congested run, playing in Europe on Thursday just 48 hours before Saturday’s eight pm kick-off, then travelling to Arsenal in the Carabao Cup next Tuesday. Oliver Glasner has confirmed he will make 11 changes between KuPS and Leeds, and it is likely he rotates heavily in Europe before restoring key players at Elland Road.
Glasner will be without Daichi Kamada, Daniel Munoz, Ismaila Sarr, Cheick Doucoure, Chadi Riad and Rio Cardines. Reasons include Sarr’s Africa Cup of Nations involvement, Kamada’s hamstring problem, Munoz’s knee surgery and a setback for £21m midfielder Doucoure.
Leeds will definitely be missing Sean Longstaff and Dan James. Longstaff is nearing recovery from a calf issue but may not return before the new year, while James is out until late January. Lukas Nmecha remains a doubt with a calf problem after missing Brentford.
Further clarity is expected when Daniel Farke speaks to the media on Thursday.
