Leeds United, who finished 14th in the Premier League last season, are prioritising attacking quality this summer.
They are exploring a move for Germany international Julian Brandt, who is set to depart Borussia Dortmund as a free agent. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the club are working on a deal for the 30-year-old attacking midfielder.
He has more than 380 Bundesliga appearances and 48 Germany caps. For Dortmund he recorded 57 goals and 70 assists in 307 games, and he has over 80 Champions League outings.
Leeds believe they are among several options for Brandt, with at least one Champions League club also interested.
He has operated as a number 10, in central midfield and on both flanks. Brandt started at Wolfsburg before moving to Bayer Leverkusen, then joined Dortmund in a €25m switch in 2019.
Leeds are also monitoring Shea Charles this summer. The central midfielder has impressed for Northern Ireland and featured in Southampton's run to the Championship play-offs last season before they were kicked out over Spygate.
