Leeds United eye World Cup duo and left-back move as goalkeeper rebuild takes priority | OneFootball

Leeds United's rebuild is accelerating, with exits reshaping Daniel Farke's squad and the goalkeeping department set for urgent attention. Free agent Harry Wilson is in, and reports of a £34.1m agreement for Sassuolo centre-back Tarik Muharemovic signal further defensive change.

Pascal Struijk has joined Brighton in a deal that could reach £20m. The departures of Karl Darlow and Illan Meslier, and Lucas Perri reportedly closing on Torino, leave 33-year-old Alex Cairns as the only senior keeper.

Parma are said to want upwards of £26m for Japan's Zion Suzuki after his World Cup form, a 23-year-old 6ft 3in with 28 caps. Aston Villa were linked before the tournament and Paris Saint-Germain have also been credited with interest. He would have international company at Leeds in Ao Tanaka. Daily Mail reported in June that Leeds were interested in Braga and Czech Republic goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek, valued at about £12.5m.

Muharemovic still needs personal terms and a medical before he can be considered theirs. If that lands, Switzerland defender Nico Elvedi looks an ideal follow-up at around £8m from Borussia Monchengladbach. Muharemovic, 23, would replace Struijk on the left side, with Sebastian Bornauw also linked with an exit.

Left-back remains delicate. Gabriel Gudmundsson is first choice, but Leeds require cover and a potential starter if interest in him firmed up. Voetbal International reported that Leeds are ready to challenge Porto for PSV's Mauro Junior, available for about £15m.
