Leeds United will be without Anton Stach for Wednesday’s trip to Bournemouth, though Daniel Farke says his comeback is now a matter of days rather than weeks.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the Whites head south on a run of three straight wins, including a first league victory at Old Trafford in 45 years, as they edge towards Premier League safety.

Stach suffered ankle ligament damage from an unpunished challenge in the FA Cup quarter-final at West Ham United and has missed league action since. The midfielder has impressed in his debut season, with four goals and three assists.

Initial assessments suggested a May return, but with April ending Farke is pushing for an earlier comeback on a day to day basis. He cannot yet say if the German will rejoin team training before the weekend and the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea, stressing he must be fully fit.

Joe Rodon had a milder ankle issue, missed the Manchester United game, then returned as a substitute in Saturday’s win over Wolves with no setback. Farke indicated the same group from that victory should be available again, while Dan James has rejoined team training and needs sessions to regain sharpness.
