Leeds United net spend after Tarik Muharemovic deal compared with Premier League rivals as £1.1bn splashed | OneFootball

Leeds United have confirmed the £34m signing of Tarik Muharemovic from Sassuolo, their first fee-paying deal of the summer. The 23-year-old completed medical tests in West Yorkshire and signed a five-year contract today. It follows Wilson’s arrival on a free transfer.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, sales of Pascal Struijk and Isaac Schmidt for a guaranteed £20m leave Leeds with a post-Muharemovic net spend of £14m. Across the Premier League, more than £1billion has already been spent.

The early net-balance picture shows Nottingham Forest at +£122.6m, with expenditure £0m and income £122.6m. Newcastle United are on +£79.1m after spending £80.9m and bringing in £160m.

Aston Villa stand at +£61.7m, with expenditure of £4.7m and income of £66.4m. Sunderland are on +£18.7m, with no spend and income of £18.7m.

Chelsea sit at +£11m, having spent £101.6m and recouped £112.6m. Hull City are at +£7.5m, with £3m out and £10.5m in at this early stage of the window.
