Leeds United pay respects after Kevin Keegan dies aged 75 | OneFootball

Leeds United have paid their respects to Kevin Keegan, the former England captain and manager, who has died aged 75.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Keegan revealed in June that he had stage four cancer, and on Monday afternoon his family announced he died with his wife and daughters at his side.

Leeds expressed deep sadness at his passing and sent condolences to his family and friends.

In a family statement, Keegan was described as a double Ballon d’Or winner and a much loved husband, father and grandfather, with thanks given to his medical team for their support.

The family also requested privacy at a difficult time as tributes were paid worldwide to the former Newcastle United, Liverpool and Southampton star.
