Leeds United earned a goalless draw at Crystal Palace after playing the second half with 10 men. A precious away point.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin missed a 45-minute penalty, then Gabriel Gudmundsson saw red for a second booking. According to Leeds Live, referee Thomas Bramall initially appeared to forget the earlier caution. It was the club's first red card since December 2023.
After the interval VAR confirmed offside when Palace forced in from a corner, and Leeds dug in to the whistle.
Karl Darlow impressed with a strong punch and a point-blank save with the flag up. Joe Rodon was composed and created openings, James Justin stayed solid then switched to left-back.
Jaka Bijol sharpened up after a clumsy spell, Pascal Strujik grew into it. Gabriel Gudmundsson advanced well before caution curbed him, then came the dismissal. Anton Stach delivered corners, blocked bravely and tested Walter Benitez.
Ethan Ampadu recovered from an early loose pass to drive midfield. Brenden Aaronson was lively but off target and replaced at half-time, Lukas Nmecha also went off. Dominic Calvert-Lewin had an early header saved then saw little of the ball.
Jayden Bogle added thrust while staying disciplined, Ilia Gruev brought control and frustration for Palace. Daniel Farke’s attacking selection was sound and, with 10 men, he sensibly kept the structure.
Ratings, Darlow 8, Justin 7, Rodon 8, Bijol 7, Strujik 7, Gudmundsson 6, Stach 7, Ampadu 7, Aaronson 5, Calvert-Lewin 5, Nmecha 5. Subs, Bogle 6, Gruev 7. Manager, Farke 8.
