Leeds United’s relegation picture has shifted after a double boost and upheaval at key rivals, with bookmakers revising odds and the predicted Premier League table. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, multiple results and managerial changes have altered the landscape.
Daniel Farke’s side trailed 2-0 at Chelsea on Tuesday night but rallied for a 2-2 draw, banking a valuable point rather than an 11th defeat.
At the same time, Tottenham Hotspur lost 2-1 at home to Newcastle United, while West Ham led Manchester United 1-0 before a late equaliser sealed a 1-1 draw. The outcome preserved a six-point cushion to the relegation zone.
Within 24 hours, Tottenham sacked Thomas Frank after their latest defeat, and Sean Dyche was also dismissed by fourth-bottom Nottingham Forest following a goalless home draw with Wolves. That result left Forest three points behind Leeds, who sit 15th, one point above Tottenham, two behind Brighton and a point shy of Crystal Palace.
With more clubs dragged into the fight, bookies have adjusted relegation prices and their projected finish. Arsenal now lead the title market ahead of Manchester City, with Aston Villa, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool next. Quoted prices include 4-11 for Arsenal, 5-2 for City and 80-1 for Villa, with United 100-1 and both Chelsea and Liverpool 500-1.
