Karl Darlow believes his regular Leeds United starts can sharpen him for Wales during a pivotal World Cup play-off window.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the 35-year-old heads into the March camp after establishing himself as Leeds' first choice this year. He has started the last 10 Premier League games since replacing Lucas Perri, leaving for duty after clean sheets against Crystal Palace and Brentford.
He has begun Wales' last four matches and is expected to keep the gloves as Craig Bellamy's side face Bosnia & Herzegovina on Thursday. Victory would bring a play-off final against one of Italy or Northern Ireland. Both the semi-final and potential final are in Cardiff.
Darlow says aspects of his club form come from work with the national team. Playing week in, week out keeps him in rhythm and, heading into camp, he hopes that stands him in good stead.
He feels the home draw breeds confidence, with visiting teams needing to match Wales in Cardiff. On a personal level he says a World Cup place would mean everything and he wants to add his part to the effort.
Darlow is joined in the Wales squad by Leeds team-mates Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu and Dan James. Gabriel Gudmundsson is involved in Sweden's play-offs, while Joel Piroe has a first Suriname call-up for deciders against Bolivia and possibly Iraq.
