Leeds United will return to Dublin this summer to play Manchester United in a pre-season friendly at Croke Park, The Irish Independent reports.
The game is slated for Wednesday, August 12. Croke Park, home of Gaelic football, has not staged a football match since 2009 and holds 82,300.
Leeds drew 1-1 with AC Milan at the Aviva Stadium last year, a well-attended occasion for Daniel Farke’s side.
A Dublin stop would follow Leeds’ pre-season tour of the USA in late July and early August, with East Coast ties planned against Wrexham, Sunderland and Liverpool.
Farke’s team face Wrexham at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on Saturday July 25, then meet Sunderland at the Sports Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey on Thursday July 30. They conclude against Liverpool in Chicago on Sunday August 2.
Tickets for those three fixtures are on sale. Leeds have yet to announce the Dublin friendly and are likely to provide ticket details alongside any confirmation, if and when it arrives.
