Leeds United have been told Petar Sucic is not for sale this summer.

Leeds are understood to rate Sucic at £29m to £34m, but any bid in that range would be knocked back, underlining his value to his current club.

The Whites want a midfield addition to build on last season’s admirable 14th-place finish.

With Inter’s stance firm, United may have to look elsewhere for upgrades in the engine room.

It has been a largely successful window for Leeds, and further arrivals are expected before the season begins in late August.
