Leeds United unveil Adidas 2026/27 yellow away kit as 'historic first', Lucas Radebe narrates launch | OneFootball

Leeds United have unveiled their retro-inspired Adidas away kit for 2026/27, returning to yellow with navy and white trim. The club said in a statement that the design revives the 1984 to 1998 Yorkshire Rose crest and Adidas’ 1972 trefoil, a 'historic first' in their partnership.

It is paired with navy shorts and yellow socks. Supporters can, for the first time, buy a long-sleeve version, a privilege reserved for Adidas’ elite group including Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. Daniel Farke’s side go into a second straight Premier League season after finishing 14th.

A launch film set in the Yorkshire Dales features current players and is narrated by club legend Lucas Radebe.

The previous yellow away strip, released before the 2024/25 Championship title win, sold over 15,000 in the first 24 hours. That shade and the 1970s smiley badge became linked with promotion and the open-top bus parade.

The new shirt could debut next month when Leeds tour the USA after the 2026 World Cup. They face Wrexham in Tampa on July 25, Liverpool in New Jersey on July 30, then Sunderland in Chicago on August 2.

An Elland Road friendly with RB Leipzig is expected on the weekend of August 8/9, before Manchester United in Dublin the following Wednesday. The 2026/27 Premier League season starts on the weekend of August 22/23. The kit is on sale now via the Leeds United shop and Adidas, plus club stores and selected JD outlets.
