Leeds United host Brentford at Elland Road on Saturday, with Gabriel Gudmundsson suspended and the visitors contending with multiple injuries. Daniel Farke’s side otherwise have few fitness issues.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds drew 0-0 at Crystal Palace, playing the entire second half with 10 men after Gudmundsson’s dismissal. He was booked for two fouls and referee Thomas Bramall appeared to forget the first yellow before it was highlighted, resulting in a ban this weekend.
Brentford’s absentees include Fabio Carvalho and Antoni Milambo, both out for the season after anterior cruciate ligament surgery in November. Josh Dasilva is also recovering from ACL surgery and two later operations at the end of last season, back in some first-team training this month but carefully managed.
Head coach Andrews said earlier this month that Rico Henry would miss a number of weeks with a hamstring problem, so a return is not imminent. Aaron Hickey sustained a hamstring issue against Brighton last month and is expected to be out until after the international break.
Midfielder Vitaly Janelt, injured in the Brighton game, has a metatarsal problem and is also out until after the break. Leeds approach the home clash in relatively good shape while Brentford manage several confirmed absentees.
