Leeds United’s Anton Stach unveils ‘very personal’ film on road to Premier League | OneFootball

Leeds United midfielder Anton Stach has revealed a very personal documentary about his journey to the Premier League and back into the Germany team.

The player said in a post that the film explores family, passion and the people who supported him, offering an honest behind-the-scenes look at his story, and he invited viewers to tune in and share it.

Since joining from Hoffenheim last summer, the six-foot-four midfielder has become a fans’ favourite for his on and off-field antics. He is a goalscorer, a free-kick specialist and a YouTuber with a channel for quirky videos and street interviews.

Stach delivered a stellar Premier League debut season and returned to the Germany squad in March, but an end-of-season injury meant he missed out on the World Cup.

He ended his announcement with a get-well message to Nico Schlotterbeck, ruled out of the rest of the tournament with an ankle injury that will sideline him for several months. The pair have played together seven times at Under 21 and senior level.

Titled ‘ANTON STACH: Just a Normal Way to the Top’, the documentary will first be broadcast on 29 June on German channel DF1, and will also be available on SPORTDIGITAL Fussball and SPORTEUROPE.TV.
