Leeds United, who have a gap to the relegation zone with seven games remaining, will have another Elland Road night after a Premier League fixture switch.

According to Leeds Live, the home match against Burnley has been moved from Saturday 2 May to Friday 1 May, with an 8pm kick-off for live coverage on Sky Sports. It will be the 35th league game.

Daniel Farke’s side have tended to thrive under the Elland Road floodlights, with a strong evening record this season.

Three of the remaining fixtures are at Elland Road. Wolverhampton Wanderers visit on Saturday 17 April at 3pm, Burnley follow on Friday 1 May, and the final home date is expected to be Sunday 17 May.

Sky’s selection reflects the potential jeopardy. The Burnley game could send the visitors down, or it could assure Leeds stay up, with multiple permutations still in play.

Farke and his players will hope a fevered home atmosphere helps deliver three significant points when that night comes.
