Leicester City were waiting on EFL clearance for three signings late on deadline day, having completed a deal for Southampton midfielder Joe Aribo. The club hope to confirm the additional arrivals on Tuesday morning.

According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, Leicester have been working on moves for Newcastle defender Jamaal Lascelles, Manchester City attacking player Divine Mukasa and Chelsea striker Dujuan Richards. At 10pm on Monday they were still awaiting EFL confirmation.

No players arrived at the King Power Stadium in the first 32 days of the window, but City were among the busiest on deadline day as they sought reinforcements for an injury-hit squad.

Aribo is likely to cover for Jordan James during his injury, providing competition for Louis Page. Mukasa would help cover for the absence of Aaron Ramsey, the teenager could rival Bobby De Cordova-Reid for the number 10 slot.

At the back, Lascelles would address the departure of Wout Faes and Jannik Vestergaard’s injury. Richards, who has yet to play senior club football, replaces Julian Carranza and will compete with Jordan Ayew and Patson Daka for the role up front.
