Leicester City chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has used his programme notes to look to the weeks and months ahead. The message comes before today's League One game with Burton Albion amid reports of a potential sale.
According to LeicestershireLive, King Power, 16 years into their ownership, are seeking new buyers or investors and a CitiGroup sales document, Project Lineup, has been drawn up to market the club. The Srivaddhanaprabha family are said to want around $300m, about £222m, for assets including King Power Stadium, the Seagrave training ground, Belvoir Drive and the women's team.
Khun Top attended Leicester's last home match, the Carabao Cup tie with Northampton Town. The club have also been busy in the market, making nine signings.
He wrote that a new season brings a new manager, new ideas and new players, and stressed the need to keep working, improve and show progress over the weeks and months to come. He noted encouraging signs but said results will ultimately measure that progress.
He thanked the 2,123 supporters who travelled to Nottingham last weekend, calling the travelling fans an important source of strength in important moments this season. He added that today offers a first chance to compete for league points at King Power Stadium, where performances will be crucial and the club look forward to the challenge.
