The timing of Leicester City's appeal verdict over a six-point deduction remains unclear, leaving the Championship survival picture unsettled.

Draws with Wrexham and Blackburn left Albion four points above the bottom three, the same margin as last week. According to ExpressAndStar.com, Oxford and Leicester currently occupy two relegation places, Leicester only there because of the six-point penalty. Five matches remain for West Brom to secure their status.

Leicester were hit with a six-point penalty earlier this year for breaching profit and sustainability rules. Appeals have been lodged by both Leicester and the Premier League, and no verdict has yet been reached. Leicester argue the EFL should not impose a sanction on the Premier League's behalf because the breaches occurred in the top flight.

The Premier League is also pushing for further sanctions due to Leicester's late submission of accounts.

No decision date has been set, and clubs in the relegation fight remain in the dark. Leicester are waiting to learn whether the situation will improve, worsen or stay the same.

Any ruling could have a major say on the survival battle and influence how clubs approach their final games.
