Leicester City season-ticket holders must renew before knowing which division the club will play in next season, with a 5pm deadline on Monday, April 20.
LeicesterMercury.co.uk reports that sales for 2026-27 opened on Tuesday and the cut-off arrives with three Championship games still to play, so fate is unlikely to be settled unless the gap is 10 points either way.
When City confirmed a price freeze last week, no renewal deadline was set. Supporters on the direct debit automatic renewal scheme have until April 29 to opt out or make changes, also before the season ends.
Fan group Foxes Trust has contacted the club to request the direct debit deadline be pushed back by a week to give supporters certainty over the division.
Early cut-offs have proved contentious elsewhere, with Plymouth apologising and revising their date after a backlash. With City’s freeze, fans could pay the same in League One as they did in the Premier League two seasons ago, while the £404 cheapest renewal would be only the sixth priciest in the third tier.
Last season, City fans also renewed before the outcome was known, though the team were 15 points from safety with seven to play. In contrast, previous deadlines have sometimes come after the season, including May 13 when the club last went up from the Championship and June 14 when they were relegated from the Premier League three seasons ago.
