Leicester City ‘to pocket’ £15.5m from El Khannouss sale, sell-on clause in place | OneFootball

Leicester City are set to receive £15.5m when Bilal El Khannouss’s loan at Stuttgart turns permanent this summer, with a sell-on clause also in place, Bild reports.

The Moroccan’s switch included an obligation to buy if appearance targets were hit, and those clauses have now been triggered, so the deal will be confirmed in the summer.

The permanent fee is €18m (£15.5m), added to the €3.5m (£3m) already paid for the loan. Bonuses could take the package to €30m (£26m). City signed him for £20m from Genk in 2024.

That provision means Leicester could receive further money in future if El Khannouss earns a bigger move.

The 21-year-old has eight goals and four assists in 30 matches, including two against Celtic that helped Stuttgart into the Europa League last 16.

The first leg against Porto is on Thursday night.

In the Bundesliga, Stuttgart have lost only one of their last 12 and are fourth in the table, chasing a Champions League spot. They are also in the German Cup semi-finals, a competition they won last season.
