Arsenal have stepped up their pursuit of Leicester City star Jeremy Monga.
According to The Times, the Gunners have lodged an opening £5 million transfer bid for the promising teenager.
However, Leicester are holding out for £10m plus a 15 percent sell-on fee.
Monga’s impressive development has caught the attention of several top Premier League clubs.
He enjoyed a breakout 2025-26 campaign, making 27 appearances in the Championship.
The 16-year-old’s performances have put him on the radar of Manchester City and Chelsea, but he only wants to join Arsenal.
The Gunners are looking to reinforce their attacking options this summer and have prioritised the left flank.
They have identified Morgan Rogers as their primary target, but Aston Villa have no intention to part company with him.
Villa are also in a strong negotiating position, with the forward’s contract not expiring until 2031.
However, Arsenal are hopeful of securing Rogers’ services, as he is reportedly keen to join the North London giants.
The Gunners can sign Monga for a small fee, but he is one for the future.
With Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard facing uncertain futures at the Emirates Stadium, the Premier League champions need an experienced forward who can play regularly.
