Paris Saint-Germain won 2-0 at Lens to retain the French title for a record 14th time, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia striking after Malang Sarr's error.

According to L'Équipe, the night captured stark contrasts, with Matvey Safonov outstanding and Sarr exposed. Safonov made eight saves, a PSG QSI-era haul bettered only by Gianluigi Donnarumma’s 10 at Marseille in March 2024 and Keylor Navas’s 9 at Rennes in May 2021.

Lens threatened first on 20 minutes when Ilya Zabarnyi blocked Sima, then cleared Adrien Thomasson’s header off the line. Kvaratskhelia punished Sarr’s loss of possession on 29 minutes, finishing calmly from Ousmane Dembélé’s pass.

Risser denied Dembélé on 44 minutes. In first-half added time, Safonov stopped Sangaré before W. Saïd’s close-range effort was too straight at the Russian.

After the break, Safonov thwarted Sima on 46 and 54 minutes, and Lens then lost Baidoo to a left thigh problem around the hour. Around 74 minutes Sima clipped the post, and Zabarnyi again rescued PSG by blocking Allan Saint-Maximin.

Safonov beat away another attempt from Sangaré on 80 minutes to preserve the lead. Substitute Ibrahim Mbaye wrapped it up with a fierce strike under the bar on 90+3.
