Lens confirm signing of Thorgan Hazard on a free | OneFootball

RC Lens confirmed on Monday the signing of Thorgan Hazard, completing a return 14 years after his departure. The 33-year-old has agreed a two-year contract.

Lens had finalised the move in April, though formal confirmation only followed. An academy graduate, Hazard made 16 first-team appearances in 2011-12 before joining his brother Eden at Chelsea in the summer of 2012.

He arrives on a free after the end of his Anderlecht contract. Last season he scored 13 league goals and provided seven assists in 36 matches for Anderlecht.

The Belgium international, capped 47 times with nine goals, has also represented Borussia M'Gladbach, Borussia Dortmund and PSV Eindhoven. He will add experience to the squad.

The announcement video also revealed contract extensions for goalkeepers Mathieu Gorgelin and Régis Gurtner until 2027.
