Lens open talks to sign Hull City target Yacine Titraoui | OneFootball

RC Lens have opened negotiations over a move for Charleroi midfielder Yacine Titraoui (23), according to a report from Foot Mercato and L’Équipe.

The Algeria international has emerged as one of Lens’ priorities as the Coupe de France winners look to rebuild their midfield ahead of next season’s Champions League campaign.

Lens are preparing to lose Mamadou Sangaré, who is set to join Brentford in a club-record €48m deal. LASK midfielder Melayro Bogarde is also being considered, but discussions are now underway between Lens and the relevant parties regarding Titraoui.

The 23-year-old joined Charleroi from Paradou AC for €1.2m two years ago and has one year remaining on his contract, although the Belgian club hold an option to extend the agreement by a further season.

Titraoui enhanced his reputation last season, making 42 appearances across all competitions while registering five goals and three assists. The midfielder has earned five caps for Algeria and was included in the country’s World Cup squad, although he did not feature during the tournament.

Premier League newcomers Hull City have also previously shown an interest in the midfielder, but Lens are now moving forward in their attempt to bring him to the Stade Bollaert-Delelis.GFFN | George Boxall
