Flamengo goalkeeper Léo Nannetti, 18, joined Brazil’s training camp in the United States during this FIFA window after the under-20 Libertadores, having impressed Carlo Ancelotti and his staff.
As states that Nannetti stood out in the under-20 Intercontinental and the age-group Libertadores, adding that Brazil will soon need renewal in goal and that, if he earns regular elite minutes, he could be a future option. The report highlights his 1.96m frame, sharp reflexes, strong positioning and aerial assurance, saying he has the tools to reach world-class level and is highly regarded by the CBF.
Nannetti joined Flamengo at nine and has played more than 300 youth matches. He took part in first-team pre-season in the United States in 2024 under Tite, and again in 2025 under Filipe Luís, who had championed him since taking the under-17s.
He has a release clause of about €70 million and a contract through the end of 2029. A regular in Brazil’s youth squads, he trained at Granja Comary in September last year after a decisive display in the under-20 Intercontinental final against Barcelona at the Maracanã. In 2025, Taffarel praised his maturity and potential.
Nannetti holds Italian citizenship and has trained with Flamengo’s senior group since last year. He has grown close to Rossi, the Argentine who offers advice and sent encouragement before the 2025 Barcelona match. He made his senior debut this year and started the first three Carioca games, which were played by the club’s under-20 side.
