Flamengo will return to training on Monday, led by Leonardo Jardim, after being given Sunday off following a 1-1 draw with Internacional in round 21.

According to Coluna Do Fla, Sunday had initially been scheduled for a session, but the football department changed plans and granted rest. The squad reconvenes on Monday, with the time yet to be confirmed.

Lucas Paquetá is set to speak at Ninho do Urubu after Monday’s workout, with the media session from 10:30 Brasília time.

With the Copa do Brasil last 16 taking place, Flamengo have about 10 days until their next Brasileiro fixture. Eliminated from the cup, they now focus on the league and the Libertadores.

They face Vitória on Sunday, the ninth of August, in round 22 at the Maracanã, kick-off 19:30 Brasília time. SporTV on subscription and Premiere via pay-per-view will broadcast.

Instead of trimming the deficit to three, Flamengo now trail Palmeiras by eight after that draw and the leaders’ win over Vitória. Palmeiras have 47 points, with Flamengo second on 39.
