Leonardo Jardim ‘to use’ Plata again as Flamengo weigh exit call | OneFootball

Leonardo Jardim has backed Plata after recent off-field issues and intends to use the player in Flamengo’s upcoming matches.

ESPN reports that Flamengo were unhappy with his conduct away from the pitch and placed him on the market. That plan remains in place, although Jardim is not pushing for the player’s exit.

He has left any decision over a sale to José Boto and Bap. Plata will remain available for selection until the mid-year transfer window.

Plata has been named in the squad for Wednesday’s game against Cusco in Peru, Flamengo’s Libertadores opener, with kick-off at 21:30 Brasília time.

The match will be broadcast on Rede Globo free-to-air, on GETV on YouTube, and on Paramount+ via streaming.
