Les Bleus returned to Boston straight after their storm-hit 3-0 win over Iraq, aiming to maximise recovery before Friday's final group match against Norway.
L'Équipe reports that they landed in Boston at around half past six French time on Tuesday. Despite a match that ran for more than four hours, including a half-time of two hours 12 minutes due to thunderstorms around Philadelphia, Didier Deschamps chose not to alter the plan.
He said returning on Monday night would let players sleep at base before facing Norway nearby. The third group game is in Foxborough, about an hour's drive from the Four Seasons in central Boston.
France are training daily at Bentley University in Waltham. The late return prompted a change to Tuesday's schedule, with the session moved from 15:30 to 16:30.
Players who featured little or not at all against Iraq are due to take part in an opposition that includes local players, as last week. Further sessions are set for 15:30 on Wednesday and Thursday. Kick-off against Norway is at 15:00 local time, 21:00 French time.
