Les Verts to face Rangers at Ibrox on 22 July | OneFootball

Les Verts will visit Ibrox to face Glasgow Rangers on Wednesday 22 July, their third pre-season fixture against Scotland’s third-placed side.

According to Le Progres, ASSE have finalised their warm-up programme, with the 25 July game cancelled, leaving five friendlies. Kick-off at Ibrox is set for 18:45.

The meeting revives European Cup ties from 1957 and 1975, fitting in the year marking 50 years since the 1976 final against Bayern Munich in Glasgow. It also offers new head coach Ian Cathro, a Dundee native, a return to Scottish soil.

Preparations begin at the Evol Stadium in Andrézieux against Biel-Bienne on Saturday 11 July at 18:00. A match behind closed doors against Servette follows in Geneva on Saturday 18 July.

After Glasgow, Les Verts will base themselves in Divonne-les-Bains from Friday 24 July for a training camp. They are scheduled to meet FC Lausanne on Wednesday 29 July, venue to be confirmed, then Venezia in Thonon on Saturday 1 August at 18:00.

The first league match is away to Sochaux on Saturday 8 August at 20:45.
