Lesotho: Atang Mafoso appointed as new head coach

Lesotho has ushered in a new era with the appointment of Atang Mafoso as the national team head coach. He has signed a two-year contract.

Having returned to his homeland after a successful stint in Namibia with African Stars FC, Atang Mafoso now faces the major challenge of leading Lesotho’s senior team in the 2027 AFCON preliminary round against Seychelles.

For the first time in Lesotho football history, the head coach will be solely dedicated to the national team, putting an end to the dual role with local clubs.
