Robert Lewandowski has announced he will not play for Poland under Michał Probierz.
The Barcelona marksman remains his country's most capped player and record goal scorer but declined to take part in their June internationals after an intense season.
Lewandowski previously claimed he reached the decision following discussions with Probierz alongside the respective Blaugrana and Polish medical teams.
But after he was replaced as captain by Piotr Zieliński, the 36-year-old insists he will not represent the Biało-Czerwoni while the current head coach remains in post.
"Considering the circumstances and the loss of trust, I decided to resign from playing in the Polish national team while he is the coach," wrote Lewandowski.
"I hope that I will be able to play for the best fans in the world again."
Poland are next in action on Tuesday when they face Finland in World Cup qualifying.
