Barcelona will welcome Atletico Madrid at the Nou Camp this Wednesday night as they look to secure a good result at home in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal clash. The Catalan club managed to earn a hard-fought 2-1 win away at Atletico Madrid recently, which should give them a ton of confidence going into this game.

Hansi Flick will opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Robert Lewandowski will spearhead Barcelona’s attack up top.

Defence

Joan Garcia will feature in between the sticks for the Catalan club after conceding one goal in his last outing. Pau Cubarsi will play alongside Gerard Martin at the heart of the Barcelona backline as they look to keep a good shape on the defensive end of the field.

Jules Kounde will operate as the right-back, while Joao Cancelo hopes to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Midfield

Eric Garcia and Pedri will anchor the midfield for the Catalan club as they look to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.

The talented trio of Marcus Rashford, Fermin Lopez and Lamine Yamal will play just ahead of them as part of Flick’s attack. All three of them will have to be at the top of their game if the Catalan club are to come out with another win this week.

Gavi, Marc Casado and Roony Bardghji will have to be content with a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Robert Lewandowski will lead the line for the Catalan club up top. He has to find a way to be a constant menace on the offensive end of the field.

Ferran Torres will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
