Chelsea have sacked Liam Rosenior less than four months after appointing him.
He departs after a 0-3 defeat at Brighton on Monday, with the Blues seventh in the Premier League and four matches remaining. The club said in a statement that recent results and performances were below expectations and that the decision was not taken lightly, with the season still long.
Rosenior took over in early January, leaving Strasbourg to replace Enzo Maresca.
The 41-year-old oversaw 23 matches during his brief tenure.
Calum McFarlane will take interim charge until the end of the season.
