Liga de Portoviejo player hit by medical cart in Ecuador’s second division | OneFootball

A medical cart struck Liga de Portoviejo’s Edison Caicedo during a second-division match against El Nacional on Sunday.

According to L'Équipe, the cart was transporting an injured Portoviejo player on a stretcher when the driver, lacking awareness, collided with Caicedo.

The defensive midfielder fell to the turf, and Portoviejo staff confronted the inattentive driver.

The driver told local media he had not seen the player.

Caicedo resumed the match and Portoviejo won 1-0, leaving them seventh in Serie B.
