PSG provide 10 of the 11 picks in the Ligue 1 2025 team of the year, coached by Luis Enrique, with Marseille’s Mason Greenwood the sole outsider, according to L'Équipe.
With the French champions also Champions League winners and holders of six trophies in 2025, the editors’ votes heavily favoured Paris. A full sweep was only narrowly avoided, the XI features three more PSG players than in 2024.
Luis Enrique tops their coaching list after sealing a second league title on 5 April, six matches early. Greenwood leads the scoring over the period with 22 goals and ranked third among attacking midfielders and forwards, ahead of Khvitcha Kvaratskhelia and Bradley Barcola.
The French contingent has thinned to two, from five a year earlier and six in 2023. Portugal now set the tone through Nuno Mendes, Vitinha and Joao Neves, while Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos and Ousmane Dembélé were already present in 2024.
New inclusions are Gianluigi Donnarumma, despite his summer move to Manchester City, Willian Pacho, Fabian Ruiz, Désiré Doué at 20, and Neves. With an average age of 25, significant change looks unlikely soon, aside from goalkeeper, whose incumbent has left Ligue 1.
Greenwood shared last season’s scoring lead with Dembélé on 21, and is out in front this term with 11 in 15 matches, underpinning OM’s spring finish of second. Dembélé, now Ballon d’Or winner, headed voting among attackers and has flourished through a switch to centre-forward and a leadership role after Kylian Mbappé’s departure.
