The Ligue 1-Ligue 2 play-offs, set for 21 and 24 May, could be moved if Nice finish 16th and enter the play-off. Their Coupe de France final is scheduled for 22 May.
According to L'Équipe, Nice qualified in Strasbourg on Wednesday and would be unable to contest the first leg on 21 May, the day before the final against Lens. That fixture would therefore need to be rescheduled.
The return is also scheduled for Sunday 24 May, creating a similar clash. The scenario is plausible, with Nice due to visit Marseille, host Lens, then travel to Auxerre, who sit four points behind.
The LFP should adjust the calendar again in such a case, as last season when Reims faced PSG at the Stade de France between two legs lost to Metz, 1-1 then 1-3.
For Nice, the squeeze would be severe. Their final Ligue 1 match, potentially decisive, is against Metz on Sunday 17 May, then if the first leg shifts to Tuesday 19 there would be only two days' recovery. If it falls on Wednesday 20, there would be 48 hours before the cup final, meaning three matches in six days.
Mirroring last season's eight-day gap between legs, the home return at the Allianz Riviera would be on Wednesday 27 or Thursday 28 May. If Le Havre, Auxerre, Nantes or Metz finish 16th instead, the initial schedule would be maintained.
