Hector Fort is staring at an increasingly uncertain future at FC Barcelona, considering that he does not seem to have a big role in Hansi Flick’s plans.

The 18-year-old right-back was barely involved in the last season despite showing great promise, and his situation appears unlikely to improve in the upcoming campaign.

After all, Barcelona have Jules Kounde as their first-choice right-back and seem to have installed Eric Garcia as the backup, with both players recently agreeing new contracts until 2030.

This opens the doors for Fort to leave the club, either on loan or permanently, and so far, there has been no shortage of interest.

Paris FC ask about Hector Fort

Now, according to journalist Loic Tanzi on L’Equipe, newly-promoted Ligue 1 outfit Paris FC have enquired about Hector Fort.

The Ligue 1 newcomers are on the lookout for a new right-back this summer and have been pursuing the signing of Hamari Traore for some time now.

At the same time, though, they are keeping an eye on other options, with Fort emerging as an alternative for their primary target, after recommendation from the Red Bull group.

As per the report, Fort’s age (he turns 19 on Saturday) and potential align closely with what the Paris FC’s leadership is seeking.

As such, the Barcelona youngster’s option is expected to be explored more seriously if the club fails to land Traore.

As far as Barça are concerned, they would be open to the departure of the youngster as a means to generate revenue, necessary for their Financial Fair Play situation.

Since making his debut under Xavi Hernandez in late 2023, Fort has made 30 first-team appearances for Barcelona, registering three assists.
