Ligue 1 pre-season set as clubs gear up for 21 August kick-off | OneFootball

After the World Cup, Ligue 1 sides have resumed work, lining up July and August friendlies before the league restarts on Friday 21 August.

According to Le Progres, all 18 clubs have confirmed summer schedules. Early results include Auxerre’s 5-2 win over Lusitanos Saint-Maur on Saturday 18 July.

Lyon beat Mâcon 71 5-2 on Wednesday eight July, then Saint-Gallen 6-3 and Servette 2-1 before a 0-2 loss to Slavia Prague on Saturday 18 July. Wolfsburg await on Friday 24 July, then Real Betis on Wednesday 29 July.

Marseille began with a 3-0 win over Yamoussoukro FC on Friday 17 July, then face Nice on Saturday 25 July, Nîmes Olympique on Thursday 30 July and Bilbao on Sunday nine August. PSG play Mallorca on Wednesday five August then Manchester United on Saturday eight August.

Monaco meet Sporting CP on Saturday 25 July, Cercle Bruges on Friday 31 July, Getafe on Thursday six August and Liverpool on Sunday nine August. Lens beat US Boulogne 4-1 on Saturday 18 July, head to the Como Cup on Tuesday 28 July against Crystal Palace and Famalicao in 45-minute games, before Sunderland on Saturday eight August.

Strasbourg were beaten 0-7 by Sporting CP on Monday 20 July, and next face Blackburn, Brighton, Elversberg, Freiburg and Newcastle between 25 July and 16 August. Elsewhere, Lille play Union Saint-Gilloise and Everton, Brest face Nottingham Forest, and Le Havre and Le Mans meet the UNFP selection on Saturday eight August, a team of out-of-contract players.
