Ligue 3 has unveiled its new trophy. According to L'Équipe, the FFF's new professional tier, formerly National, presented the silverware on Friday ahead of its launch next season.

The third level of French football has named the prize Trophée de France. It will be awarded to the league winners from 2026-2027, alongside automatic promotion to Ligue 2.

Its look may remind some of rugby's Bouclier de Brennus, given to the Top 14 champions, as the historic Trophée de France was created by Charles Brennus.

Between 1907 and 1914, that trophy went to the winners of a tournament run by the Comité français interfédéral, precursor to the FFF, founded in 1919.

The Trophée de France model later inspired the Coupe de France, with the same trophy presented in 1916, before the Coupe Charles-Simon was inaugurated in 1918.
