Lille predicted XI v Real Betis: Olivier Giroud to start in LOSC’s Champions League opener

Hamza Igamane, who continues to recover from the ACL injury that he sustained at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) at the start of the year, is the only absentee for Lille OSC as they get their UEFA Champions League campaign underway against Real Betis on Tuesday night.

Davide Ancelotti has been relatively consistent in his squad selection since being named LOSC boss in the summer. Basar Onal could get a start on this occasion; he may get the nod ahead of Osame Sahraoui, who has featured prominently in the opening weeks of the Ligue 1 season. Olivier Giroud is expected to once again lead the line. In time, Ayase Ueda will look to disrupt the hierarchy, but he will likely start from the bench this evening.
